Te’Retta Hall is a divine individual with an immeasurable skill level, which has primed her for her journey as a Fitness Coach. From her early years as a middle school student and on throughout high school, Te’Retta began her passion for sports by partaking in cheer, volleyball, and softball. Her love for sports encouraged her strong desire to stay fit, which led to her living a healthier lifestyle as an adult. Her enthusiasm poured into her sons’ lives, as she encouraged them to find a sport that they loved and work hard to reach their goals. Te’Retta’s love for motherhood and for the game led her to coach her youngest son in basketball for 2 years. She later decided to dash into a new lane and began running in March 2013. Since her first race in the Annual Mayor’s Cup 5K in Germantown, TN, Te’Retta has run
countless races including nine marathons and over 60 half marathons in 40 different states.
Te’Retta’s fortitude, devotion, and allegiance led to her being selected as a Run Coordinator for the Memphis Chapter of Black Girls Run!, a national running group geared to help African-American women make fitness and healthy living a lifestyle. Joining the group on Shelby Drive in 2014, she watched the group grow from six to over 85 men, women, and children on a given morning at 4:30 am! She has since moved to the role of Co-Ambassador for the local chapter.
While birthing this newfound passion for running, Te’Retta ventured into strength training and aerobic exercise. She learned through her own training and research that to live a healthy lifestyle, one must not focus on one area. Strength training, cardio, and nutrition go together to develop the total person and be physically fit. Te’Retta’s love for people directed her into her next ministry as a fitness instructor, leading Instagram live workouts, ZOOM workouts, and 30-day wellness journeys!
Te’Retta is an innovator who leads by example. Her belief and outlook on life is “mind over matter.” Her goal is to help motivate and encourage others to live a more positive, healthy lifestyle through physical fitness and total wellness. Her favorite quotes are, “Keep your head up. God gives His hardest battles to his strongest soldiers”. “Greatness is a CHOICE.” “getMEright”!

Transformation: There IS Purpose in the Process
There is so much I can say about myself. I'm compassionate, tenacious, yet shy in some instances, outgoing, inquisitive, and fun-loving. I love encouraging others and seeing them reach their God-given potential. Throughout each life experience, I continue to taste...and see that the Lord truly IS good!

Te’Retta is extremely good at designing workouts for my specific needs. As a guy over sixty, a runner, and one who struggles with extra body fat, she was able to create a training and diet plan that helped me improve my running endurance and build muscle. Her workouts are challenging for men and women.

The Condition of Your Heart (Monday, January 15, 2018)
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right and steadfast spirit within me. ~Psalm 51:10 (AMP)
Life happens to us. Life happens in us. Life happens for us. And because life happens, we sometimes find ourselves all over the place. We may be happy one minute, sad the next, then frustrated, then worried, and the list goes on. Things around and in us cause us to feel this myriad of emotions that doesn't necessarily have to do with anyone else. It has everything to do with us and the condition of our hearts.
David found himself in a quandary in the above passage. So much transpired in and through him, and he needed to be still. He knew he had sinned against God and wanted forgiveness. He didn't blame anyone else for his actions. He took responsibility for his vile actions, humbled himself, repented, and asked God for forgiveness.
I've not felt my loving self for a few days. I've been attitudinal, recluse, short, and simply bothered. It could be cabin fever. It could be I'm over being sick and just want to get well. It could be that I've allowed some stuff to creep in that's not like God. Either way, I know that I don't like it and desire to do something about it. This had led me to our prayer focus and study this week...our hearts. Each day this week, I will meditate on one of these Scriptures to help get me back to where I need to be and in His presence.
Psalm 51:10 (today's Scripture)
Romans 10:10
Ezekiel 36:26
Proverbs 4:23
James 4:8
Jeremiah 17:10
Every day will not be happy...
