It Still Works

John 15:2

This morning, I discovered that a piece of my juicer had melted in the dishwasher. I forced it back into place and kept going, but suddenly the juicer stopped working. My husband took some pliers, broke off what had melted out of place, and smoothed the bottom down.

The piece was still melted. It didn’t look like it did before. But once the interference was removed, it fit again. And it works.

That blessed me!!!

Sometimes we think healing means looking untouched by what we’ve been through. But God doesn’t always erase the evidence. Sometimes He removes what’s hindering us, smooths out what got in the way, and helps us function again.

You may still have evidence of the heat.

You may still carry some scars.

You may not look like you did before.

But you still work.

You can still produce.

You can still fulfill your purpose.

You can still bear fruit.

Don’t despise what God has to break off or smooth out. It may be exactly what’s needed for you to function in this next season.

John 15:2 - Every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
