Seasons Change

Ecclesiastes 3:1
This morning I went back and read something I wrote on October 3, 2012:
Fourteen years later, that hit differently.
Back then, I wrote about leaves changing and how what was happening naturally reminded me of what God does spiritually. Seasons change. Things fall away. What once looked one way begins to look completely different.
And here I am, all these years later, still learning that change isnβt always an indication that something is wrong. Sometimes change is evidence that something is working. Yet the problem is, we sometimes fight to preserve what God is trying to transform.
We ask Him for growth, but resist the changing that comes with it. We want the next season while trying to hold onto everything from the last one. We want the breakthrough without the breaking.
Fourteen years ago I wrote,
Today, Iβm still saying yes to change no matter how it feels. Different season. Different woman. Same God.
And Iβm still finding purpose in the process.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 - To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
