Learn From the Moment

James 1:19

Sometimes the test isn’t what happened. The test is how we respond to what happened. And sometimes, we just miss it.

We don’t necessarily act out or get completely out of character, but our response is more than the moment required. Then later, when we’ve had time to process it, we realize, “I could’ve handled that differently.”

Don’t beat yourself up. Learn from it.

Yes, God’s grace is sufficient, but grace doesn’t excuse us from growth. Sometimes God will allow a moment to reveal what still needs work.

Acknowledge it. Adjust it. And when the opportunity comes again, respond differently.

James 1:19 - Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.
